Nyack Man Runs 131 Miles For Black Lives Matter Movement
The 24-year-old ran from Nyack to Springfield, Massachusetts in four days.
NYACK, NY — A Nyack resident recently ran 131 miles in memory of Ahmaud Arbery and to raise awareness for Black Lives Matter.
Quamel Broadhurst, 24, ran from Nyack to Springfield, Massachusetts in four days. "This was one heck of a journey," he said on Instagram. "It was not easy, but it was worth every second."

Arbery was chased down and fatally shot while jogging through his Satilla Shores neighborhood in Brunswick, Georgia on Feb. 23. It took more than two months — and a change in the authority investigating the case — before the three white men involved in the confrontation and video were arrested.

"With everything going on, I really hope we are taking the step in the right direction," Broadhurst said on Facebook.
