Key Bank is the only one in the village that tows any car parked in its lot after hours, according to a report by The Journal News.

NYACK, NY — Tired of getting a run-around from Key Bank, Nyack Mayor Don Hammond is considering moving the $2.5 million the village keeps in several accounts there to another bank in town, The Journal News reports.

He has already pulled his personal account, he told reporter Pete Kramer. It's not that they don't have a right to tow, he acknowledged; it's just that there are options they won't even talk about.

Now the Rockland County consumer protection department is checking to make sure the towing companies are abiding by the county's rules on pricing and licensing.
