Nyack Woman Drives Drunk, Has Accident: NYSP
Police said the woman was uninjured in the one-car accident.

NYACK, NY — A Rockland County woman was accused of drunken driving after a one-car accident. State police said Maryelizabeth Ekman, 55, of Nyack, was charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated, a misdemeanor, and multiple vehicle and traffic violations.
Troopers responded around 3 a.m. July 26 to a one-car accident on I-87 in the Town of Clarkstown.
Ekman was uninjured, but police said she was intoxicated.

She was taken into custody and processed at the Tarrytown barracks, where her blood alcohol content was determined to be 0.20 percent.
Ekman was turned over to a sober third party and released on appearance tickets returnable to the Town of Clarkstown Court Aug. 7.
