Nyack's Halloween Parade And Celebration Postponed

The huge event draws 15,000 marchers and spectators a year.

NYACK, NY — With an eye on the weather, the organizers of Nyack's wild and wonderful Halloween Parade have decided to move the whole massive event to Sunday.

Although the date has been moved, the festivities on Sunday will proceed according the same schedule as originally planned, including the trick-or-treat trail at 2 pm starting at the Main Street visitor kiosk, live music from 2 pm and continuing all day, float and costume contest registration at 3 pm in Memorial Park, and the parade kick-off at 5:30 pm.

The post-parade awards ceremony for best costumes, floats and best decorated houses will take place at approximately 7:30 pm on the Main Street stage. Not to be missed will be the many after-parties at restaurants and night spots in town.
