Dolores Marion Reiman Asaro, a former Nyack resident, died peacefully on April 9, 2013 in Arlington, VA, after a short illness. She was 90 Mrs. Asaro was born on July 14, 1922. Predeceased by her son, Anthony in 1997 and husband Gabriel in 1998, Dolores is survived by her daughter and son in law, Adele Asaro and David Ely; her grandchildren, Bianca and Gabriel Ely; and her sister, Bea Lentz. She was a beloved aunt to many nieces and nephews and sister-in-law to all of her and Gabe's brothers and sisters. She will be missed by many other relatives and friends. Dolores graduated from Tappan Zee High School and worked at Lederle Laboratories in Pearl River for several years before she and Gabriel were married. They raised their family in Nyack, and Dolores was a loving wife, mother and aunt. She was a member of Saint Ann's Catholic Church. She was a long-time member of the Central Nyack senior citizens' group, and she had many years of travel and fun. Her greatest pleasure, however, was dancing with her husband, Gabe. The family will receive friends on Saturday, April 13, 2013 from 10 a.m. until 12 noon at the Hannemann Funeral Home, Inc. in Nyack. A celebration of Dolores' life will be held at 12 noon at the funeral home.
