Piermont Farmers Market: Yes, There Will Be WAFFLES
Piermont Farmers Market welcomes new vendor, Pika's Farm Table. Market held every Sunday, 9:30 am to 3:00 pm, in M & T Bank parking lot.
Pika Roel learned to cook from her Belgian mother, who often made quiche from scratch. “It was never the same quiche,” Pika recalls. “It depended upon the leftovers from the day before and what the farmers in our small village had to offer.” Now through her small business, Pika’s Farm Table, she makes Belgian specialties, including quiches created with her mother’s crust recipe. Ooooh -- and waffles.
The best waffles around, that is. Now Pika’s Farm Table is joining the Piermont Farmers Market as a weekly vendor through November. Stop by this Sunday for their hot-off-the griddle waffles, as well as their delicious assortment of quiches and other prepared foods to go. Give ‘em a warm welcome!
Every Sunday, the Piermont Farmers Market features delicious fruits and vegetables, cheese, pasture-raised poultry and meats, breads and baked goods - including gluten-free from Meredith’s Country Bakery! - prepared foods to go and much more. On Sunday, July 5th, the market will also host the North Winds Lavender Farm and Bombay Emerald Chutney Company as rotating vendors.
