Police: Drunk Truck Driver was Weaving All Over Route 303
Orangetown police stopped a West Nyack man in Blauvelt at lunchtime.

BLAUVELT, NY — A West Nyack man faces a DWI charge in Orangetown after a dangerous bout of erratic driving, police said.
Orangetown police said they stopped a 52,000-pound tree service truck after seeing it driven erratically on Route 303 at 1:55 p.m. Oct. 12. It was swerving on and off the roadway, and forcing other vehicles into oncoming traffic in order to avoid it, police alleged.
Police said they interviewed Thomas Walker, 51, and noticed slurred breath and an odor of alcohol. He failed numerous sobriety field tests. At police headquarters he submitted to a breathalyzer test and was found to be three times over the legal limit, which is a .08 BAC.
