Parents and grandparents will learn practical strategies to help their children and grandchildren calm down, improve attention and focus, and learn to cooperate. Our discussion will also touch upon what childhood behaviors may be cause for concern. Question and answer period will be included.

Michelle S. Kaplan, LMSW is a social worker and clinical evaluator at the Child Mind Institute in New York City. She has experience in preventive family counseling and has worked in community mental health centers and at residential treatment programs for children with psychiatric and learning disorders. Her research interests focus on treatment advances in the field of child and adolescent mental health.
