Residents go to the polls May 20 to vote on Nyack school trustees' proposed $77.3 million spending plan, which would increase the tax levy by 1.8 percent.
District officials are also asking voters to allow them to double the capital reserve fund to $10 million.
Also on the ballot, four people running for three seats on the Nyack Board of Education:
- Dan Berkowitz
- Leeann Irvin
- Jen Marraccino
- James Marshall
Voting takes place at Depew Manor, Hilltop, Upper Nyack and Valley Cottage schools between 7 a.m. and 9 p.m.
In the South Orangetown schools, polls are open from 7 a.m. - 9 p.m. The trustees have proposed a spending plan for 2014-15 of $86.4 million. Two incumbent trustees are running unopposed for re-election.

District #2 – Orangeburg Residents – Tappan Zee High School
District #3 – Tappan Residents – William O. Schaefer School
District #4 – Grandview, Palisades, Piermont, & Sparkill Residents – Tappan Zee Elementary
