Rockland BOCES Staffer Named New York State Coordinator of the Year
Donna Stonis-Anderson handles work-based learning at the Career and Technical Education Center.

Rockland BOCES Career & Technical Education Center Work-Based Learning Coordinator Donna Stonis-Anderson was named Coordinator of the Year at the annual New York State Work Experience Coordinators’ Association Conference on April 7 in Albany.
Principal Kim Bell nominated Stonis-Anderson for the honor. “Donna is a vital member of our team. She’s energetic, knowledgeable, motivated and a great asset to CTEC,” she said in a prepared statement.
Since joining CTEC three years ago, Stonis-Anderson has revitalized its Business Advisory Councils through member recruitment and developed new councils to advise the recently created welding and cyber technology programs, BOCES officials said.

She has worked closely with local businesses to boost the number of internship placements and organized guest speakers and field trips to help students meet the work-based learning requirement for the Career Development and Occupational Studies (CDOS) credential.
