Body Found, Rockland Man Charged With Murder

New York State police were helping Greenwood Lake Police with a missing person case.

HUDSON VALLEY, NY — A 63-year-old Rockland County man was charged with murder Friday after the body of a missing Orange County man was found at a residence in West Nyack, New York State Police said.

State Police said their Bureau of Criminal Investigation was contacted Tuesday by the Greenwood Lake Police Department for assistance with a missing person case, Brian Romney, 56 of Greenwood Lake.

Romney's body was found at a residence in West Nyack. Investigation led police to arrest Joseph Janulewicz on Friday. The West Nyack was due in Clarkstown town court Friday morning to be arraigned on a charge of second degree murder, police said.
