Flight Cancelations, Delays Continue: Check Flight Here

United Airlines says Newark Airport may regain few a United flights Sunday night

By DEB BELT (Patch Staff)

The one-two wallop of snow followed by brutal north winds means residual delays in flights to and from the East Coast could last nationwide for days.

United Airlines said on its website that the winter storm pummeling its hubs at Newark Liberty International Airport in Newark, N.J., Dulles International Airport near Washington, and at other airports throughout the region, means extended delays and flight cancellations.

The airline plans to start very limited operations on Sunday afternoon at its Newark Liberty Airport hub and other New York City metro area airports.

Passengers should check directly with their airline to confirm delays/cancellations and re-booking procedures.

The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey posted this tweet showing crews plowing out the airports to be ready when flights can resume.

Just how bad was it? A video of the massive snow-clearing effort in D.C. shows Dulles Airport’s control tower nearly invisible through the blizzard.
