Severe Weather: Thunderstorm Watch for Nyack, Piermont

We tell you when the line of storms is expected to march across the Hudson Valley.

The National Weather Service has issued two statements:

“The good news, is that it could spell some much needed rainfall,” said Bill Potter of Hudson Valley Weather.

The storm front won’t bring a lot of relief from the unseasonable heat, though.

“Thursday continues very warm, but the humidity should break a bit. That should be a welcome change,” Potter said. “That trend continues as we close out the work week… so no break from the heat. The month of May should finish somewhere between 6 and 8 degrees above average… which is incredibly warm.”
