NYACK, NY — State of Emergency for South Nyack:
Mayor Bonnie Christian and South Nyack/Grand View Police Chief Wilson have declared a state of emergency for the Village of South Nyack due to the stormy weather and high winds. Many trees and electrical wires are down throughout our Village which has resulted in several road closures. It is extremely hazardous to be on the roads during this storm.
Village Hall will be closed at 1:00pm due to the weather conditions. In a case of emergency please call 911. Electrical outages should be reported to Orange & Rockland at 1-877-434-4100. Stay clear of any downed power lines or trees.
Due to road closures, there were some homes that our Garbage Carter was not able to get to for today's garbage collection.
