South Nyack Residents Vote To Change Village Elections

the end of an era

SOUTH NYACK, NY — South Nyack residents decided to move village elections to November from March. Mayor Bonnie Christian informed residents that the referendum passed with the majority vote.

South Nyack is deserting the company of Grand View, Hillburn, Montebello, New Hempstead, Upper Nyack and Wesley Hills. They join Haverstraw, Nyack, Spring Valley and Suffern, Rockland villages that hold their elections in November.

"The administration and record keeping for our Village elections will be handled by the Rockland County Board of Elections. November of 2019 is when the next Village election will be held," Christian said.
