"The Time Mission Challenge provided STAC students with the opportunity to participate in an excellent off-campus activity where all the participants were able to meet new people, bond with each other and compete in a friendly competition to benefit our College’s Scholarship Fund. It was a great time and an awesome experience!" Michael Maher, Class of 2025 for St. Thomas Aquinas College, said in a news release.

The company hopes to make it an annual event.

Time Mission, known for its interactive game concept launched in Rhode Island in 2021, begins its national expansion in Rockland County. In December, it celebrated its grand opening with a fundraiser for local non-profits.

More than 50 representatives from Meals on Wheels, Girl Scouts, Wonder Girls, and Nanuet Interact Club (playing for Nanuet/West Nyack Rotary) participated in a fun Charity Challenge and were the first to experience the new Time Mission challenge rooms. Meals on Wheels walked away with the win and $2,000 in prize money.

In Time Mission, teams of 2- 5 people go through up to 32 different portals where they collect skill points by completing challenges in less than 2-5 minutes. Teams can be made up of individuals of different ages as some will excel at one skill, while others will be better at another, making it a perfect family or group activity. Participants may choose to only collect points or start a secret mission to unlock special bonus features and achievements. Teams can repeat, or abandon, rooms at any time to improve their score or find the next clues on the mission before time runs out.

Plus — this is one of the strengths of the game — the game evolves.

Because Time Mission simulates time travel, teams are never locked into their choices, and going back into a portal doesn’t always result in the same outcome.

And, since Time Mission HQ can reprogram the portals, previously visited destinations may not be available when guests return to play the next time. They would be replaced by new spaces to explore, or might only then be accessed in other Time Mission entertainment venues.

Located on the third floor of the Palisades Center, it is open for corporate team building, family events, birthday parties, Bar Mitzvahs, and just friendly group fun. Recommended age is 6 years and up. Sessions can be booked for 60, 90 or 120 minutes. Time must be reserved online at www.timemission.com.
