Community Corner

Stay Safe Rockland

A new organization to deal with work-place and neighbor stalking

I am pleased to announce today, on this official Stalking Day of Action, the formation of Stay Safe Rockland, an organization that will provide training and education to law enforcement and the community on stalking, and counseling to victims. The organization will focus on the two types of this criminal behavior that receive little attention: work-place and neighbor stalking.

Volunteers are needed to grow the organization into a non-profit that will serve the community.

We seek retired law enforcement officers and legislators, white hat hackers or technologists that can spare a few hours a week, and social services and legal professionals.

Work-place and neighbor stalking are illegal activities that deprive victims of a safe environment in which to work and live.

It is time to do something about it.
