Temps To Drop; Frost Advisory For Woodstock: Hudson Valley Forecast

HUDSON VALLEY, NY — Temperatures will drop Thursday night throughout the region, and a frost advisory has been issued for the eastern Catskills. It's in effect from 1 a.m. to 8 a.m. Friday.

In the lower Hudson Valley, it'll be chilly overnight, with lows in the lower 40s.

Meanwhile, meteorologists are watching Ian's path. The storm is expected to reacquire hurricane status in warm ocean waters before making its third U.S. landfall, in South Carolina, on Friday.

Impacts from Ian will be felt along the mid-Atlantic coast, AccuWeather predicted.

For the Hudson Valley, it will be a very close call, said Alex Marra and Bill Potter of Hudson Valley Weather, predicting the bulk of the rain will stay to our south. "We will need to monitor the southern most parts of our region for a grazing, even then we are looking at fairly light rainfall amounts. We will continue to monitor," they said on Facebook.

• Saturday Night - Mostly cloudy with a 50 percent chance of rain. Lows in the lower 50s.
• Sunday - Partly sunny with a chance of rain in the morning, then mostly cloudy in the afternoon. Highs in the lower 60s. Chance of rain 30 percent.
• Sunday Night - Mostly cloudy in the evening, then becoming partly cloudy. Lows in the lower 40s.
• Monday - Mostly sunny. Highs in the lower 60s.
• Monday Night - Mostly cloudy in the evening, then becoming partly cloudy. Lows in the lower 40s.
