Is Unrecognized Grief Sapping Energy from Your Life? Join Julie Lange Groth in a Healing Retreat May 20-21 in Nanuet, NY
Release Grief and Heal the Heart through powerful Shamanic and Native Practices
Julie Lange Roth has found a way to transform the most devastating loss a mother can suffer. The death of a child. She has come through this challenging journey and has worked with her grief to find new hope and joy. She will share the wisdom that she has gained in a workshop at CILK119, a shared workspace and arts center in Nanuet, New York on May 20th and 21st.
Julie says, "Grief is a universal experience, a strong, inescapable response to a loss. Grief is pain. Unhealed, stuck grief can block the healthy flow of energy in our lives, stealing our life force, numbing our emotions and robbing us of joy."
For several years, Julie has been working with some simple but powerful tools of shamanism to help people recognize and heal their grief. The May weekend will be based on this work and her soon-to-be-released book, Healing What Grieves You: Four Steps to a Peaceful Heart.

Julie's retreat will provide a sacred circle where participants can share with openness. Rituals will help participants turn from worldly concerns to their internal processes. Ceremonies from the Native American tradition will invite spiritual help to heal grieving hearts.
Julie says, "Unprocessed grief can put a terrible strain on family relationships and friendships, and over time, it can impair the future relationships of the children as well as the parents, setting in motion a pattern of dysfunction that engenders more loss and more grief through many generations." Julie hopes "to address grief in all its forms—on a personal, social and global level—to create a world where people honor their own feelings and support one another in healing their deepest wounds. In this way perhaps we could begin to reverse the great tide of grief that has been rising throughout human history."
