Veterans Day Events Are All Week In Rockland

There are several special events scheduled over the next eight days to honor those who have served in the United States Armed Forces.

ROCKLAND COUNTY, NY — Veterans Day is Thursday, and there are several special events scheduled over the next eight days to honor those who have served in the United States Armed Forces.

Wednesday

  • 11AM - outside Spring Valley High School. A ceremony bringing “home” SSG Stanley Boorman’s Purple Heart. Read more at lohud.com.
  • 12:30PM - Lunch @ Krucker’s, 81 Call Hollow Road, Pomona, $45 in advance, $50 at the door.

  • 9:30AM - Dedication of Hezekiah Easter Veterans Memorial Square on the corner of Main and Cedar streets, Nyack
  • 10AM Jewish War Vets - Gene Levy Park, Ramapo.
  • 11:30AM-1PM - Town of Orangetown celebrate our Heroes Veterans Drive-By Lunch. You must RSVP by 11/9/2021 with your order veteran@orangetown.com.
  • 11AM-noon - Village of Suffern, American Legion 859, Ceremony at Soldiers Monument, 61 Washington Ave., Suffern, NY 10901.

Sunday

  • 10AM - Pearl River American Legion Post 329 – Parade, with refreshments following at the Post for veterans.
  • 10AM - VVA Ceremony at Orangeburg Veterans Memorial Park. Open to all.
  • 12PM - The Rockland County Veterans Coordinating Council's ceremony for Veteran of the Year, 11 New Hempstead Rd, New City, Allison-Parris Building.
