Violent Library Attack Left Victim With Head Injuries, Police Ask For Public's Help
Orangetown police were first called to the Nyack Library on Friday, just before 5 p.m., according to authorities.

NYACK, NY —The Orangetown Police Department is currently investigating a violent assault at the Nyack Library.
On Friday, around 4:50 p.m., Orangetown Police Department officers responded to the Nyack Library, located on S. Broadway, after receiving a report of an assault that took place inside.
At the scene, police found a victim who had injuries to his head. He was treated by emergency medical personnel at the scene.

The attack is being investigated by the Orangetown Police Department Detective Bureau. Anyone who may have witnessed the incident or has any information about what happened on Friday is being asked to contact police at 845-359-3700.
