Want to Vote in 2016 Presidential Primaries? Act Now!
The registration deadline is Oct. 9, 2015, a League of Women Voters official reminds Piermont, Nyack residents.

If you are thinking about voting in the presidential primaries next year, you may have to act now, the New Castle League of Women Voters reminds us.
Anyone who wants to vote in next year’s presidential primary but who has moved, or wants to change his/her party affiliation, or isn’t registered, must either submit an application or revise their voter registration information — which you can do on the MyDMV website.
The deadline is Oct. 9.

Changes in party affiliation must be registered prior to the general election preceding the primary in which the person wants to vote (before November 2015 to vote in primaries in 2016).
And just FYI: You can also register to be an organ donor when you register to vote or update your voter registration.
