What's Open, What's Closed in Piermont and Nyack on Martin Luther King Day

Martin Luther King Day 2015 is celebrated on Jan. 19—King’s actual birthday was Jan. 15, but the official holiday is always celebrated on the third Monday of January.
Local events observing the holiday include: Nyack College’s 10th annual Social Justice Celebration Jan. 18 at Nyack Seaport and the Martin Luther King Multi-Purpose Center’s annual celebration Jan. 19 at Spring Valley High School.

The village of Piermont’s garbage collection has been changed from Monday January 19th to Tuesday January 20th in observance of Martin Luther King Jr Day.
