Wrong-Way Driver in Nyack Faces DWI Charge

Orangetown cops say the Garnerville man was drunk, driving with a suspended license, and carrying marijuana.

NYACK, NY — Orangetown police arrested a Garnerville man at 4:39 a.m. Saturday in Nyack.

They say they found him driving the wrong way down a one-way street in the village. After they stopped him on High Avenue, Patrick Fuchs, 27, failed several field sobriety tests, police said. He then failed a breathalyzer test at Orangetown police headquarters.

Fuchs faces misdemeanor charges of driving while intoxicated and aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, plus a marijuana possession charge.

He is due back in Nyack village court on March 14.
