• Oceanside police rescue 84-year-old woman from house fire (newsbreak.com) — Police and firefighters in Oceanside rushed to a Harding Street home late Saturday night, rescuing an 84-year-old woman from a house fire and preventing the flames from spreading. Nassau County officers used extinguishers from their patrol cars before entering the residence, and the Oceanside Fire Department assisted at the scene. Thankfully, no injuries were reported.
