Tanker Friend & Foes: Tanker Friend & Foes: A WWII Labor Day Weekend EA WWII Labor Day Weekend Event

This Labor Day Weekend, Saturday, September 5th and Sunday, September 6^th between 11:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m., the Museum of American Armor, 1303 Round Swamp Road, Old Bethpage, will present “Tanker Friend & Foes,” operating its collection of Allied armor alongside replica enemy vehicles they would have confronted during World War II.

From the Hellcat tank destroyer that could reach speeds of 50 miles per hour, to the replica Tiger tank whose lethal cannon created deadly havoc for the Allies, the Armor Museum’s collection will be presented for the purpose of paying tribute to those who have defended our freedoms and the sacrifice required to do so.

Donations are requested at the door with suggested amounts: $15 adults; $12 children 5 - 12 (under 5 are free); and $12 seniors (60+), volunteer firefighters, and veterans.
