SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 23

Campfire S’mores – 1 p.m.
Summer may be over, but it’s the perfect season for campfires. Learn several different ways of making a campfire, then enjoy cooking some s’mores.

Fern Walk – 1 p.m. – 2:30 p.m.
A hike to identify and learn about the ferns at the preserve.

Raising Monarch Butterflies – 1 p.m. – 2 p.m.
Monarch butterflies have been in decline for many years. Dwayne Taylor, the “Butterfly Man,” will discuss how he raises them from egg to butterfly, and then releasing thousands of Monarchs to join the annual fall monarch migration south.

Volunteer Work Project – 1 p.m. – 3 p.m.
Help pitch in with a maintenance project at the preserve. Great for service credit hours. Bring work gloves; hand tools provided.
