Saturday Afternoon Basketball and Gym Buddies

Volunteer Basketball and Gym Buddies are needed to support Y-COP of Mount Vernon's youth co-ed basketball program. Offered every Saturday from October to May, this program is open to children ages five to 15. Youth learn the fundamentals of basketball, including passing and dribbling, as well as how to be a good team player and have a positive competitive spirit. There's healthy competition, lots of fun, and playoffs at the end of the season. Volunteer Basketball and Gym Buddies don't need a hook shot or the skills of Steph Curry—just a passion to be a positive influence on kids in the community.
