History – For more than a century, the local stores at 147- 155 Main Street were a vital part of downtown Ossining’s commercial center. Most notable among them was Kipp’s Pharmacy, a popular, family owned shop with apartments on the upper floors. In 1995, a fire destroyed most of the block. After the fire, the Village of Ossining took over and cleared the properties, using them as a municipal parking lot for nearly 20 years. Working with local officials, Stagg Group acquired the parcels from the Village through an open RFP process, and began construction on Hudson Crossing in 2013.

Design – Westchester-based Badaly & Badaly Architects designed the building’s brick and masonry exterior to blend with the Village’s historic architecture. The interior employs urban chic style elements in common spaces. Individual apartment units have large windows with plenty of natural light and feature well equipped kitchens with stainless steel appliances, tile baths, gas heat, central air, and an onsite laundry in this secured access, elevator building with available car and bicycle parking. Stagg Group also made public improvements to the property including new curbing, sidewalks and a parking lot.
