5 Picks to Kick off Music Festival Season in the Hudson Valley
Bluegrass, country, jazz, folk and rock music, plus activities, refreshments, fresh air — these are coming up in the next couple of months.

Warm weather is coming, soon, and with it comes the outdoor concert season. There's so much going on in the Hudson Valley this summer! We thought we'd highlight five of our early-on favorites to kick things off.
First up is NashSkill Fest, a seven-hour free music festival celebrating the best of country and bluegrass music in Peekskill. The event is May 20. The festival will take place on Railroad Avenue, just steps from the Peekskill train station, with magnificent views of the Hudson River.
Ossining's first Seize the Rainbow Jazz Festival on June 9 and 10 will pay tribute to visionary jazz guitarist-composer Sonny Sharrock, who lived most of his life in the village.

Clearwater's Great Hudson River Revival, known to everyone simply as the Clearwater Festival, is the weekend of June 17-18. The extravaganza at Croton Point Park features seven stages, and that's just the stages.
The fourth annual Rockland-Bergen Music Festival in Tappan runs June 24-25. The festival combines great music and important causes. It will feature over 33 artists on two stages as well as 15 non-profit organizations.
