OSSINING, NY — A weapon that might be more valuable as a museum relic than a firearm was seized by police this weekend.
Ossining police say they recovered a 100-year-old Colt .25 caliber pistol from a suspect on Saturday night.
Authorities said the 100-year-old handgun was unloaded, but the serial number on the side had been defaced, and the person in possession of the gun did not have a pistol permit.
The firearm was confiscated, and the suspect was arrested, according to police.
