UPDATE: Route 133 Reopened; Investigation into Body Continues
Ossining police say the body found by a jogger Monday morning does not appear to have been a hit-and-run.

Ossining police say a body found by an early-morning jogger on Route 133 was not the victim of a hit-and-run.
Police received a call at about 6:30 a.m. from the woman who discovered the body, said Det. Sgt. Jeff Giorgio. It was in the brush on the southeast side of the road.
“We determined it is suspicious,” Giorgio said.

The body has been taken to the Westchester County Medical Examiner’s Office, and investigators await results.
Meanwhile, Ossining police reopened Route 133 to traffic in both directions after noon. It had been closed between Tavano Road and Cooper Drive since 7 a.m.
