Car Goes for an Evening Swim: Croton-on-Hudson Fire Department

CROTON-ON-HUDSON, NY — No one was hurt Sunday when a car rolled into a swimming pool in the village, fire officials said.

The car apparently got away from its owner and rolled into a neighbor's pool. Car 2082 (Colombo), Car 2083 (Pesavento), Engine 118 (Chemical), Rescue 18 (Patrol Co.) and Utility 14 (Washington) responded.

"No, the owner wasn't trying to recreate Christopher Columbus' expedition across the ocean...Luckily nobody was hurt, the car seems OK and the pool will likely be usable - by humans, preferably - next season," the department posted on Facebook.

I'd have that car checked out.
