Coronavirus: Deaths Last Week In The Hudson Valley

Across New York, 151 residents died of COVID-19, according to state health data.

HUDSON VALLEY, NY — In the past week, 17 Hudson Valley residents died from COVID-19, according to state health officials.

  • Saturday, Aug 28: 27 New Yorkers died, including 2 in Orange County, 1 in Ulster and 1 in Westchester
  • Friday, Aug. 27: 26 New Yorkers died, including 2 in Orange County and 1 in Westchester
  • Thursday, Aug. 26: 18 New Yorkers died, including 1 in Dutchess, 1 in Orange and 1 in Westchester.
  • Wednesday, 25 New Yorkers died, including 2 in Orange County, 1 in Ulster and 1 in Westchester.
  • Tuesday, 16 New Yorkers died, including 1 in Rockland and 1 in Ulster.
  • Monday, 11 New Yorkers died.
  • Sunday, 28 New Yorkers died, including 1 in Orange County.

The mid-Hudson region's 7-day coronavirus positivity rate went up slightly, to 3.67 percent Aug. 28 from 3.40 percent Aug. 20.
