Check out these fun ways to get outside and enjoy yourselves.

A host of fun events are planned for this weekend in Westchester County's Parks. Whether it's practicing farming, or helping with spring cleaning, looking for birds or doing crafts, there's something for the whole family. Even a chance to just get outside and look for signs of spring!
Saturday, April 8

Muscoot Farm Chores – 8 a.m. – 10 a.m.
Do you have what it takes to be a farmer? Join this hands-on farming experience. Ages 8 and up. Kids must be accompanied by an adult. Fee $6 per person or $20 for a family of 4; pre-registration required at (914) 864-7282.

Volunteer Corps Work Day – 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.
Help with invasive plant removal, trail work, beach clean-up, and more. Weather permitting.

Submit Poems for Poetry Exhibit – 10 a.m. – 3 p.m.
Submit up to three poems per person. Must be framed and wired for hanging and be inspired by Marshlands Conservancy.

Natural Egg Dyeing – 1p.m. – 2 p.m.
Use natural dyes to color eggs for spring. Fee $6; pre-registration required.

Choose from a variety of different crafts. Pre-registration required by 4/01.

Signs of Spring Hike – 1 p.m.
The end of winter is near, a perfect time for a hike through the reservation looking for signs of spring.

Fertilizer Types and their Uses – 2 p.m. – 3 p.m.
