Environmental History - Mouth of the Croton River

Scott Craven will present a multi-media program on the "Environmental History - Mouth of the Croton River" at our Member Meeting on Wednesday, July 11 at 7:30PM.

Learn how the Mouth of the Croton River represents all the major historical  themes in the Hudson Valley, in an accessable compact package. From its  glacial origins and original inhabitants, to brick making and the railroads.  Also, find out why the Van Cortlandts built their mansion on a mudflat.

Scott Craven has an M.S. in History and has lived along the banks of the Hudson River his entire life. He is a boater, fly fisherman, and hiker.
