Jonathan Kruk, "The Legend of Sleepy Hollow" storyteller, reveals the secret sources, and haunted history of the renowned headless horseman, at the Ferry Sloops monthly meeting on Wednesday, September 5 at 7:30PM, in the Croton Point Park Nature Center.
His origins in Dutch custom, local oral tradition, and Revolutionary War records, tell but part of the remarkable tale of the decapitated Hessian who galloped on to become the most famous ghost not only along the Hudson, but in America. Plus, stories of surrounding spirits of the river.
Kruk's History Press book, "Legends and Lore of Sleepy Hollow" now in it's second edition, includes a map of Ichabod Crane's race, and will be available after the potluck.

Ferry Sloops' monthly meetings are held at the Nature Center in Croton Point Park on the first Wednesday of each month. Our potluck supper begins at 6:30PM, followed by our meeting at 7:00PM and guest at 7:30PM. The meetings are open to all current members and non-members interested to learn more about Ferry Sloops.
