AUDITION NOTICE: Summercliff Players present "Once On This Island"
Auditions will be held on May 20th and 21st at the Briarcliff Recreation Center on Macy Road for the 2012 Summercliff Players’ production of "Once on This Island". Offered through a cooperative effort with the Briarcliff Manor Recreation Department, the Briarcliff Friends of the Performing Arts and the Briarcliff Manor Community Coalition, this is the summer troupe’s sixth season. Registration is open for students ages 11 to 21. "Once on This Island" is a show with a catchy, contemporary, and Caribbean-flavored score by the Tony® Award-winning songwriting team of Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty. The show will be directed by Kathleen Donovan-Warren with Musical Direction by Nadia Rizzo and Technical Direction by James Britt. Rehearsals will run Monday – Friday, 6:00 to 9:00 pm, from June 25 – July 26. Two public performances are scheduled for July 27th and 28th. Registration is not limited to residents of Briarcliff Manor and tuition is $420 per performer with a $25 non-refundable audition fee.
