Capt. Scott Craven of the Ossining Police Department, a local historian and avid boater will be speaking at Shattemuc Yacht Club on Friday June 10 and July 15 at 7:30pm. The topics will be " the "Economic Impact of the Croton River on Colonial America" and "Shad Fishing and the Hudson". Scott has an M.S. in History and has lived on the edges of the Hudson River his entire life. He is an avid boater, fly fisherman and hiker and could hit the river with a small stone from the back deck of his house.
