Explosion, Fire At Croton Condo Complex
Firefighters from all over the region battled a blaze at Half Moon Bay in Croton-on-Hudson.

CROTON-ON-HUDSON, NY — Firefighters from several communities battled an explosion and four-alarm fire at Half Moon Bay in Croton Saturday morning. Two firefighters were taken to Westchester Medical Center for treatment of minor burn injuries and released.
The department was dispatched at 7:45 a.m. to the end unit of the Discovery Cove complex. An explosion from the area of the gas meter drastically increased the volume of fire.

The house was under renovation.

Croton, Ossining, Tarrytown, Yorktown, Millwood, Verplanck, Mohegan, Sleepy Hollow, Chappaqua and Somers were among the departments that sent firefighters and or ambulance crews or worked standby. Marine units assisted including from Tarrytown, Westchester County police, and Stony Point across the river.
Con Ed was called to the scene.

"A shout out to the CFD and all members that operated that made a fantastic stop holding it to the end unit," Ossining fire officials said on Facebook.
