Former CFO Of Christian Charity Accused of Embezzling $100K

New York State Police allege he diverted funds for the Children's Bible Fellowship, based in Carmel, to personal use.

CARMEL, NY — The former chief financial officer of a Putnam County-based charity is accused of embezzling funds from the Christian organization. New York State police arrested David Eldredge on Monday and charged him with grand larceny.

Children's Bible Fellowship, based at 250 Nimham Road, works with youth and people of all ages with disabilities. According to its website, its mission field is New York City.

Police said investigators began an investigation into the possible embezzlement of funds from the CBF in July of 2017 after officials at the nonprofit discovered and reported the larceny.
