Former Ossining Textile Plant to Become Housing, Offices

Redevelopment and adaptive reuse are in the works.

Ossining, NY — Vacant property on State Street in Ossining that once was a textile plant is to be redeveloped.

According to an article at the Journal News, the 6-acre property will be turned into 189 residential units, 7,500 square feet of offices and a parking garage with more than 200 spaces.

IQ Landscape Architects, PC, was selected to do the landscape design for the development, according to information on its website.

Plans call for a sustainable landscape with a village green, green roofs, rain gardens, a clubhouse and pool complex, a community garden and links to the nearby Metro-North train station.
