Free CPR Course Offered in Ossining

The program is aimed at people who do not need a course completion certificate.

Ossining, NY — An opportunity to learn cardiopulmonary resuscitation will occur in Ossining at the Sunshine Children’s Home Wednesday, July 20.

The long-term pediatric care facility will host the free Family & Friends CPR course from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. in the main building located at 15 Spring Valley Rd. in Ossining.

Organizers said the American Heart Association workshop is for people who would like to learn the valuable skills of CPR, but don’t need a course completion certificate.

The course is ideal for schools and students, new parents, grandparents, babysitters and anyone interested in learning how to save a life, organizers said.

What people will learn, using a practice-while-watching format, will be skills in CPR, AED use and relief of choking in adults, children and infants.

It will be taught by Sunshine’s American Heart Association instructors.

The course is open to the public, but space is limited.
