Friday Early Dismissals In Extreme Heat: Complete HV List

HUDSON VALLEY, NY — As forecasts are calling for excessive heat over the next few days, some schools are announcing early dismissals for Friday.

As of 6:45 a.m. on Friday morning, here are the schools so far that will be dismissing early. This list will be updated throughout the morning, as needed.

• Arlington: MS will dismiss at 10 a.m. & ES will dismiss at 11:30 a.m. HS Regents will proceed as planned.
• Beacon CSD: RMS will dismiss at 11:30 a.m. ES will dismiss at 12:30 p.m. BHS Regents and graduation will proceed as planned.
• Briarcliff Manor School District: Todd Elementary will dismiss at 11:15 a.m. on Friday
• Carmel CSD: CHS will dismiss at 10:45 a.m. after morning Regents. GFMS will dismiss at 11 a.m. Elementary will dismiss at noon. Regular day for staff.
• Clarkstown CSD: Already scheduled half-day for K-5.
• Dover UFSD: Wingdale ES & Dover ES will have half-day. Dover MS will have normal schedule. HS will administer Regents exams as scheduled.
• East Ramapo CSD: Elementary (including Kakiat S.T.E.A.M. Academy) will dismiss at 11:15 a.m. Middle schools will dismiss at noon.
• Eastchester UFSD: Scheduled already. MS will dismiss at 10:50 a.m. AH/GV will dismiss at 11:30 a.m. WV will dismiss at 11:40 a.m.
• Edgemont UFSD: 11:30 a.m. dismissal for Greenville and Seely Place
• Elmsford UFSD: early dismissal for Grady Elementary (11:15 a.m.) & Dixson Primary (11:35 a.m.)
• Florida UFSD: Seward 6th grade will dismiss at 10:30 a.m. Golden Hill PreK-5 will dismiss at 11:30 a.m. Golden Hill Club Kids canceled. Golden Hill Field Day Split: indoor June 21 & outdoor June 25. HS exams as scheduled.
• Goshen CSD: SAS will dismiss at regular time. GIS dismissal at 11:30 a.m. CJH dismissal at 10:30 a.m. with Regents testing as planned. GHS will have regular testing/Regents testing. Faculty & staff will work regular hours after students are dismissed early.
• Haldane CSD: Already scheduled as half-day for ES & MS. 5th Grade Moving Up Ceremony will proceed as planned. HS Regents will take place as planned.
• Highland Falls-Fort Montgomery CSD: PreK & K-8 were already scheduled for a half-day. HS Regents exams as planned. Faculty & staff will work normal hours.
• Katonah-Lewisboro SD: Scheduled early dismissal for Elementary & JJMS.
• Kingston City Schools: Early dismissal (already scheduled) for PreK-8. Pre K-4 will dismiss at noon. Grades 5-8 will dismiss at 11 a.m.
• Mamaroneck UFSD: Early dismissal (already scheduled) for ES at 11:30 a.m.
• Marlboro CSD: Early dismissal (already scheduled) for MMS at 10:30 a.m. and MES at 11:30 a.m.
• Minisink CSD: MS will dismiss at 11:30 a.m. ES will dismiss at 12:40 p.m. Out-of-district students will be picked up at 11:30 a.m. HS Regents exams will proceed as planned.
• Monroe-Woodbury CSD: Early dismissal already scheduled. UPK will dismiss at 11:10 a.m. M-W MS will dismiss at 11:37 a.m. Sapphire & Smith Clove (K-1) will dismiss at 11:45 a.m. Central Valley, North Main, Pine Tree will dismiss at 12:45 p.m. HS exams will proceed as scheduled.
• Newburgh Enlarged CSD: Heritage Middle & South Middle will dismiss at 10:30 a.m. GAMS, Meadow Hill, Temple Hill, Vails Gate STEAM Academy will dismiss at 11:30 a.m. Balmville, Fostertown, Gardertown, Horizons, New Windsor, PreK@GAMS will dismiss at 12:30 p.m. All Regents exams will proceed as scheduled.
• Nyack UFSD: MS will dismiss at 11 a.m. Elementary schools will dismiss at 11:45 a.m. Regents and 5th grade Moving Up Ceremony will proceed as scheduled.
• Ossining: OHS testing and OHS graduation practice will proceed as scheduled.
  • 3-hour early dismissal at 12:20 p.m.: Park, Brookside, Claremont, Roosevelt
  • 3-hour early dismissal at 11:45 a.m.: AMD & OHS
• Pawling CSD: PreK-8, 2-hour early dismissal already scheduled.
• Pelham School District: Colonial, Prospect Hill & Siwanoy will dismiss at noon.
• Pine Plains CSD: ES students previously scheduled to be dismissed one hour early will now be dismissed at noon.
• Port Jervis CSD: Already scheduled half-day for K-8. HS Regents exams will proceed as scheduled.
• Poughkeepsie City School District: Half-day (already scheduled) for ES. Early release for MS. Regents Exam Schedule for HS.
• Valley CSD: MS will dismiss at 11:50 a.m. ES will dismiss at 12:30 p.m. ALC will dismiss at 12:15 p.m. HS Regents Thursday afternoon exams will remain as scheduled. HS Regents Friday afternoon exam will take place on Monday in the afternoon. See district website for information about rescheduling of dance and moving-up ceremonies.
• Wallkill CSD: Early dismissals already scheduled. MS at 11:05 a.m., ES at noon.
• Wappingers CSD: Already scheduled half-day. Junior HS will dismiss at 10:25 a.m. ES will dismiss at 11;25 a.m. All Regents will proceed as scheduled.
• Yonkers Public Schools: half-day of PK-Grade 8; schools that start at 8:35 a.m. will dismiss at noon; schools that start at 7:35 a.m. will dismiss at 11 a.m.
