Frigid Temps Could Bring Season's First Snow To The Hudson Valley
Here's the latest on the work week. Hudson Valley Weather even added the iconic 'Game of Thrones' warning to its forecast.

Snow is in the forecast. Now, it's only a possibility — but what's definite is that we're in for a wintry work week. Highs will only reach the upper 40s on Wednesday, and won't get out of the upper 30s on Friday.
Anyway, about the snow. Meteorologists are watching a deep dip in the jet stream, as a bowling ball of frigid air moves our way from Canada. They're also watching a series of storms on the Plains that could push all the way to the East Coast.
"Just how fast this cold air pushes south… will determine if the storm can make its way far enough north… to spread snow into the Northeast and Hudson Valley for Thursday or Friday," said Alex Marra and Bill Potter of Hudson Valley Weather.

Through the week, expect shots of cold cold air in between which temperatures will be allowed to rebound some for a short time, AccuWeather meteorologists said. Temperatures across the northeastern U.S. will generally be 5-10 degrees below normal for the first few weeks of November.
"The average temperatures over that time… are projected to be 10° to 15° BELOW average! That’s some wintry stuff," Marra and Potter said, adding the iconic Ned Stark photo to their post. "Doing the math… those are afternoon high temperatures that do not get out of the 30s! And overnight lows that could dip into the 10s and low 20s! These conditions would be more typical of late December or early January! So chop your firewood now…"
