Hawk Watch -- 10 a.m. – noon

Bring binoculars and watch for hawks on their migratory path over the Hudson River. Meet at the mansion.

Read Wildlife Sanctuary, Playland Park, Rye – (914) 967-8720

Friends of Read Annual Meeting – 11 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.

Find out what’s happening at the sanctuary and learn about the Volunteer Corps and how you can play a role. Open to members and prospective members.

Spooky Stories Hike – 1 p.m.

What better time to learn about the spooky stories of the reservation? Join the naturalist for a hike and tales that will give you goosebumps!

Halloween Hoopla – 1 p.m. – 3 p.m.

A candy scavenger hunt, crafts and Halloween goodies. Fee $4; registration required by 10/16.
