Hudson Valley Forecast: Wind, Warmth & Rain, Then Possible Snow
A hazardous weather outlook was issued for the mid-Hudson Valley.

HUDSON VALLEY, NY — The roller coaster's going around again, and temperatures on Monday could hit 60 degrees with rain showers and gusty winds — then drop to freezing by midnight bringing flurries, the first possibility of snow for the week.
The National Weather Service issued a hazardous weather outlook for Dutchess and Ulster counties, where strong winds are expected to start Sunday night and continue through the day Monday. Winds may gust 30-40 mph. Then, behind the cold front, gusty west-northwest winds could exceed 40 mph for a short time. Winds begin to diminish Monday night behind the cold frontal passage.
Another cold front is expected Wednesday, and it could bring accumulating snow.

"The key to the forecast for Wednesday is the position of the leftover frontal boundary from Monday," said Bill Potter and Alex Marra of Hudson Valley Weather. "After the front moves through our area on Monday night, it will stall out over the Mid Atlantic region. The low pressure that follows on Wednesday will move along that boundary."
Here's the five-day forecast from the NWS, based on Putnam County. Keep checking with Patch for updates.
