Hazardous Weather Outlooks Issued For The Hudson Valley

Here's what to expect Friday.

HUDSON VALLEY, NY — Thunderstorms Friday could produce locally heavy rain and strong winds, the National Weather Service said.

A Hazardous Weather Outlook was issued early in the morning for Orange, Putnam, Rockland and northern Westchester Counties for storms.

Southern Westchester also has a Flood Watch in effect until 4 p.m.

For Dutchess County, the Hazardous Weather Outlook says:

There is a marginal risk of severe thunderstorms this morning with damaging wind gusts the main threat. In addition, some thunderstorms this morning will produce very heavy rainfall which may cause flooding of low lying and poor drainage areas.
