Help Croton Win Another $5,000 For EV Chargers

Did you buy or install a heat pump after Jan. 4? If so, please help Croton win $5,000 more for public EV chargers.

Did you buy or install a heat pump (HP) after Jan. 4, 2022? If so, please help Croton win another $5,000 toward installing more public EV chargers in the Village.

In April, the Village's Sustainability Committee won a $5,000 grant for identifying recent purchases of electric vehicles. The committee wants to do the same with recent purchases or installations of any type of heat pump: air-source, ground-source (also called “geothermal”), or heat pump water heater.

If the Sustainability Committee can identify 5 HP purchases in Croton since January 4, 2022, it will win a $5,000 grant from New York State.

Heat pumps are high-efficiency devices to replace (or supplement) a boiler, furnace, water heater, or air conditioner. If you bought any type of heat pump, or just signed a contract to install one, please email the Sustainability Committee at info@sustain-croton.org. All that is needed is your address, the contractor’s name and town, and the purchase or installation date.

Thank you for helping Croton’s Sustainability Committee!
