Holiday Food Baskets: Help the Baker-Collyer Cheer Fund
At 101 years old, this Ossining charity is going strong and can always use your help.
The Baker-Collyer Christmas Cheer Fund is now accepting contributions for its annual holiday food basket distribution.
An Ossining merchant who witnessed two children picking through a garbage pile, started the charity 101 years ago. Now more than 300 families are helped every year. All funds raised purchase food for the holiday baskets. Volunteers handle all administration efforts, and members of the Ossining Volunteer Fire Department pack and deliver the baskets.
